Life at Nglanggeran Village.

It has been one month now since my stay here at Nglanggeran village. Adapting to this new environment, lifestyle, culture, language etc has been very challenging but I'm really grateful and happy to be here. I have considered this place as my second home as the people in this village makes us feel at home and makes us feel as a member of their own. I feel at home because this village have similar plants, flowers, root crops and weather to my country Fiji. Living in a place surrounded by green nature is a great feeling ever. I find myself to linger in this place. So grateful for the bright sunshine, raindrops, the greenly spirit of trees and for the blue dreamy sky and for everything which is natural and infinite. I'm so thrilled by how the villagers in Nglanggeran preserve and take good care of their environmental nature and promoting it as a tourism attraction.  This tourism destination has been successful throughout the years and is still running smoothly. They have won so many awards so far. Nglanggeran Tourism village is a unique rural destination place with complete attractions from natural, cultural and man-made. As far as I know that this destination place was established purely from the community awareness to take care of their environment by re-planting the forest around the ancient volcano areas. The young residents are the ones managing the activities in the village. Most of the villagers are being employed in this tourism sector "Nglanggeran Tourism village" The people in this village are very friendly, kind, humble and caring. They have a very great hospitality. I've explored some of the tourism attractions in this place such as rice field, waterfalls, hiking at Gunung Api Purba, process of making chocolate at the Chocolate factory and Nglanggeran Embung. But there are still yet other attractions for me to explore later and learn more about.
