Kunjungan Mahasiswa Universitas Siliwangi ke Desa Wisata Nglanggeran
Rabu (8/01/2020), mahasiswa Pendidikan Geografi, Universitas Siliwangi yang beralamat di Tasikmalaya, Jawa Barat mengunjungi Desa Wisata Nglanggeran. Kunjungan tersebut dilakukan selama dua hari, dalam rangka Praktikum Kuliah Lapangan (PKL).
Pada hari rabu, pukul 18.00 rombongan mahasiswa Pendidikan Geografi, Universitas Siliwangi tiba di Desa Wisata Nglanggeran. Setelah itu mereka diarahkan menuju Homestay milik warga setempat untuk bermalam dengan menggunakan mobil lokal (pickup).
Dalam kegiatan tersebut, mereka mengunjungi 3 lokasi wisata, yaitu Gunung Api Purba, Embung, dan Griya Cokelat.
Dini hari, pukul 04.00 mereka dibangunkan oleh pemandu dari Gunung Api Purba, lalu diarahkan menuju pendopo yang terletak di kaki gunung. Setelah itu pendakian dimulai. Perjalanan yang dilalui cukup terjal dan licin, memakan waktu kurang lebih selama satu setengah jam hingga sampai di puncak. Lelah selama perjalanan terbayarkan dengan keindahan hamparan pemandangan alam. Sembari menikmati panorama alam yang ditawarkan, mereka juga belajar secara langsung mengenai batuan dan sejarah terbentuknya Gunung Api Purba. Pemandu wisata Gunung Api Purba, Lilik Suharyanto pun menjelaskan mengenai awal mula terbentuknya Desa Wisata Nglanggeran. Setelah selesai pemaparan materi dan berswafoto ria mereka kembali ke Homestay untuk membersihkan diri.
Perjalanan dilanjutkan dengan mengunjungi wisata Embung yang berjarak sekitar 2 km dari Gunung Api Purba dengan menggunakan mobil pickup. Selama perjalanan mereka menikmati pemandangan pegunungan yang indah sembari mengamati keanekaragaman hayati yang ada. Setibanya di lokasi, mereka harus menaiki tangga yang cukup tinggi agar dapat menikmati keindahan Embung. Lalu mereka mendapat penjelasan mengenai embung. Setelah pemaparan singkat selesai, mereka bebas berswafoto di tempat-tempat yang memang sudah didesain seindah mungkin.
Kunjungan yang terakhir adalah Griya Cokelat. Tempat ini merupakan pusat pengolahan cokelat di Desa Nglanggeran. Di tempat ini mereka melihat proses pengolahan cokelat serta menikmati berbagai hasil olahannya. Tak lupa, mereka juga membeli berbagai olahan cokelat yang memang cukup langka dan unik untuk dijadikan sebagai oleh-oleh.
Visitation of Siliwangi University Students to Nglanggeran Tourism Village
Wednesday, (8/01/2020), the students of Geography Education Department, from Siliwangi University in Tasikmalaya, West Java visited Nglanggeran Tourism Village. The visitation was carried out for two days, within the formwork of professional placement.
On Wednesday, at 06.00 p.m. the students of Geography Education Department, from Siliwangi University arrived at Nglanggeran. Then they were directed to the homestay owned by local people using a pickup.
At this visitation, they enjoyed three attractions, namely Nglanggeran Ancient Volcano, Embung or mini reservoirs, and Griya Cokelat.
In the down, at 04.00 p.m. the students are waked up by landlady, then they were directed to pendopo in the button spot of Nglanggeran Ancient Volcano. After that, they climbed the Nglanggeran Ancient Volcano. Climbing was starting, the track was quite slippery and steep. It took time for one hour to get on the top.
The travel fatigue paid off by the beautiful natural scenery. While enjoying the offered beautiful natural scenery, they also learned about the rocks and the formation of the Ancient Volcano. Lilik Suharyanto as the tour guide also explained the beginning formation of the Nglanggeran Tourism Village. After that, they took many photos then back to the homestay to take a bath.
The tour continued to visit Embung which is about 2 km from Nglanggeran Ancient Volcano taken by a pickup. During the trip, they enjoyed the track and the scenery, they also observed the existing bio diversities. After they arrived in the location, they climb the stairs, so they could enjoy the beautiful Embung. After that, they enjoyed the scenery and took the photos at the spot that has designed, before back to the homestay the tour guide gave some explanation about Embung.
The last tour was visiting Griya Cokelat. This place is a center of chocolate production in Nglanggeran. Here they saw the process to make chocolate and tasted the products. They also bought a variety of chocolate products which is quite rare and unique as the souvenirs.
